So my GF wrote on my dash with a Sharpie " I ove you" cute and all but F@@@ now it wont come off!!! Is there anything I can use to get it off?

That sucks.....I hope my g/f has more sense than that. Sharpie are permanent marker no? If so your only hope is laquer thinnner, acetone is pretty weak compared to thinner. Maybe try some laquer thinner with a little scrub brush(toothbrush?)Just be careful the thinner doesn't start to melt the dash.

you might try raw egg too, back when i had chickens we wrote on the eggs with sharpies and occasionally one would break and all the marker disappeared

but if nothing works, they have paint thats supposed to be color matched to your dash, I'm sure that would take care of a small spot like that

I don't know if it would mess your dash up but mineral spirits might work, in moderation, try like one letter and don't put a lot of mineral spirits on the rag, till you know it works. Best of luck! My friends did that to my truck while I was in class. I told her if she touched my truck, she was dead.

I broke into her apartment (she left it unlocked, but she didn't know that.) Used black window paint and painted her windows black, and stole her light bulbs outta her lamps.

try adhesive remover!

we use this stuff at work when detailing vehicles, and we can get rust stains off chrome and paint, and black marks off paint and vinyl. the stuff works awesome!!! (use gloves)

HA...well my suggestion doesn't compare much to laquer thinner or any other HARSH chemicals. But when I bought my '97 S-10, I took a little Simple Green and a toothbrush to the interior and got out 10 years worth of dirt and grime grounded into the dash, armrests, steering wheel etc. My interior literly looks BRAND NEW!! Granted I've never had to remove Sharpie with it, it's still worth a try. And when it comes to just general cleaning or heavy duty cleaning...Simple Green is one of the best.
