Dual Action Buffers
Well, I am not sure how many of you know much about car detailing, but I know about enough to clean my truck, and then some, but not much more. I have been looking into buffing and have found that the safest solution would be to get a DA Buffer, or a Dual Action Buffer. The only DA Buffer I came across was made by Porter Cable, so I searched some more, and found an thread all about them and accessories for them. Here is an amazing thread I found on autopia.org. Check it out, it helped me a lot, hoping to pass along the wealth to a few s10forum.com peeps.
INFORMATIVE THREAD ON THE DUAL ACTION BUFFER AND ACCESSORIES ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Dual Action Buffers
I have the Meguiar's G-100 DA Buffer. It is made by Porter Cable and has six different speeds and the pads are velcro so very easy to change. Just my opinion, but it is the best da i have ever used and i detail vehicles on the side.

Re: Dual Action Buffers
the porter cable is good if your paint isn't in that bad of a shape or you really haven't buffed that much. It won't get half the stuff off a regular buffer would. It all depends on what your needs are.

Re: Dual Action Buffers
I picked up a polisher/sander at the pawn shop for $15, I have a 95 grand am and practiced on it just to see if I could burn the paint or what not. I had no problems and with a little work you can bring back a good gloss to your paint. On the painted plastic parts you have to be careful, the paint will come off it it gets to hot or you leave the buffer in one spot.
