Dryer Sheets VS Bumper Bugs?!?!?!

So,has anyone heard that dryer sheets remove caked on bugs off you bumper? well I have,so i tried it. i heard this "myth" from my neighboor who swears by this method to get the bugs off his RV. about a month ago he told me about it so it got me curious. I finally went out to try it today, and well, here are my results, and a list of what you will need:

Materials:
Box of Fabric Softener Static sheets(didnt use the whole box,nor did i buy expensive ones)
Small bowl or bucket of water(first i tried it w/o water, then i realized it works better with)
Thats it i guess.

Materials:

Before

After:

As you can see,it worked ok,alot better then i thought it would. i did the grill also but sorry,no pics. that little spot i did was really caked on,and it took me about 1 minute to do it,so i figure prolly about 20 for the whole bumper. also, after you are done, there will be some oily residue left over,i washed it off immediatly.

Just thought i would share this with yall guys. have fun.

Re: Dryer Sheets VS Bumper Bugs?!?!?!

hmm,the dryer sheets worked better then those IMO,and didnt cost as much as one. also, with those sponges, you still have to buy some bug&tar remover.

i use this one professionally , long as its a "netted" one .....

you dont need bug and tar remover lol.....you just need the right sponge and soap and water homie....

i do/did it for a living for 16+ years and dont own bug cleaner, and i guarantee i can remove bugs on ANYTHING thoroughly ....... sometimes it can take easily 20 mins on bugs alone....

i even include tractor trailers as something i thoroughly remove bugs on....

Re: Dryer Sheets VS Bumper Bugs?!?!?!

if you would wash the car on a regular basis like once a week, you wouldnt have to worry about all those bugs.

Re: Dryer Sheets VS Bumper Bugs?!?!?!

I use a netted one similar to that one. I wash twice a week and polish/wax regularly so bugs aren't bad at all. They pretty much fall off with a sponge and soap/water.

wd40 works awesome on my front bumper, makes the bugs fall right off with a normal rag.

Black stuff left over looks like tar from the road. Hit it with some bug and tar remover and bam! you are good to go!
