Folex works pretty good, its a carpet cleaner that you spray on rub in and wipe out pretty much, sold at like home depot and lowes, that stuff has saved me many times..

Pour water on it and then squirt Head and Shoulders shampoo on it. Scrub it with a brush then vacuum it up with a shop vac. This has worked when someones spit cup dumped on the carpet.

The best thing you could possibly do is to open your phone book, call up a local professional carpet cleaner, and ask if they clean carpet and uphoulstry in vehicles. You want to stay away from many over the counter carpet cleaners because they are typically high in pH. This means that once you use the cleaner dirt is verly likely to stick to they carpet afterwards. Also, only a professional carpet cleaner has a vaccum with a high enough power. So if you want to avoid headaches down the road pay a professional carpet cleaner to do it. They normal use steam to clean the carpet, and a high power vaccum to suck the water and chemicals out. It is important to rinse and vaccum the carpet in this manner to ensure proper drying. Most of the time you can have your entire car or truck cleaned for between $45-65. I cleaned carpets for 6 years so I am speaking from experience. Yeah its alot to read, but I hope it helps steer you in the right direction. Good luck

a decent INTERIOR detail should START at $75.oo, i would NEVER pay anyone to have my "entire car or truck cleaned for between $45-65."

but than again i am the only one that cleans my vehicles.

oh and welcome to the site lol

i use a woollight mixture for carpet, one bottle of woollight(laundry soap but make sure its the high effeciancy one) , dump it in a 5 gal. pail it itll make 5 gal.'s for you.

steam is a bad idea. under the carpet there is some factory sound deadening/heat resistant material that will absorb the moisture and stink for a while. there are also several electrical connections, more if you have a model with more luxuries. steam getting into electrical connections is very bad. very very bad.

Re: drpepper on carpet how do i get it out

^^^^^^^^If you get a carpet cleaner to do it they will give you drying instructions so that you will not have a smell. If you wish most carpet cleaners will deodorize your carpet. Also you wont hurt any electric wires I promise. I have cleaned well over 1000 vehicles over the years and have never had a single incident. Hope this clears it up

Re: drpepper on carpet how do i get it out

wow i agree with notadime! lol i am an asst mgr of a detail shop lol our interiors start at 80 lol but hey man here you go get either blue coral carpert cleaner spray it on scrub it in or get a general all purpose cleaner w/o bleach or anomonia in it and mix it and scrub and then get a shop vac - but you can always go to a detail shop that is like locally owned and they should be able to extract it for next to nothing if they charge you at all- i know i normally wouldnt charge for somethign that small! lol
