Dried carnauba wax...

So my parents just bought a new explorer (yeah a ford get over it). This thing is cherry for a used truck. No swirl marks not a single ding and only one tinyyy little scratch that if it isn't pointed out you would never notice it. And the engine bay, looks like the day it rolled off the show room floor! Any ways there's dried carnauba wax on the paint right under the mirror and on the under side of all for of the door handles (there a textured plastic kinda material). Any Ideas how I could get this off for them? My dad already talked to the dealer ship and they said they would re-detail the exterior and try to get the wax off. But if I could save the hassle and just do it myself that would be great. Thanks for any ideas.

Re: Dried carnauba wax...

carnuaba wax turns to liquid if heated, get a rag and soak it in some warm water and try to buff into the cracks and get it out and if its far in the cracks use a paper clip and chip it away
