Do my wheels have a clear coat?
I have 16" American Racing Hopsters and cannot find any info if they have a clear coat or not. I searched and found a thread from a few years ago that said if you put wax on them and the rag turns black then they dont have a clear coat on them, is that right? Also if they are cleared, what is the best way to make them look original again?? Thanks a lot!

Re: Do my wheels have a clear coat?
Yes if they turn black your wheels do not have a clear coat. The best thing to have them look original is to use Mothers Extreme Wheel polish.

Re: Do my wheels have a clear coat?
yep, take some mothers billet alum polish on a rag and do a small pass. If black residue is transferred onto the towel, there is no c/c.
