I use Simple Green Automotive degreaser. But ONLY use it on a Cool engine. or it will turn your Hoses white. I just spray the motor down with the Simple green, then rinse it off. Then I spray on a WATER BASED engine dressing that I get from "Top of the line" Deatail Supply co. and leaves everything under the hood lookin better then it did when it was new.I dont mean to push a company so much on here but thats where I order 99% of my supplies from

Simple Green Rules.

I have a black truck, how do I prevent & remove swirls.

Right now I use Meguiars Scratch X and polish which do a good job.

Scratch x is Okay .Got to a Auto paint supply store and get some Meguiars #82 swirl free polish,If you are using a buffer use a white foam pad. If you are doing it by hand get some 3M hand glaze. and use a foam applicator. get some Microfiber towels to remove any of the products you use, and only usewhite 100% cotton terry cloth towels.make sure they are made in the USA anything elsa isn't 100%cotton.also wash them first andDONT USE fabric softer in the wash is will cause streaks on black.you may have to polish it twice if you have a lot of swirls in it.then finish it off with a good carnuba paste wax I use "Trade Secert" from .... topoftheline.com.. it is KILLER on black and Red. paste wax is better then liquid wax. I use all top of the line products only. but you have to order it on line. Meguirs and 3M stuff you can get pick up at any paint supply Hope that will help you out some... Carl

Dont use compound on glass!!! Look up the EASTWOOD Companyon the internet. they have a polishing kit just for windows. Most Spots on windows are from Acid Rain.and that is the ONLY way to get them off

the specs in your windshield I would say are from all the shit from the road that bounces off of it all the time...Clear coat scratches,If they aren't to Deep and you have a Orbital Buffer Go to a Auto paint supply store and get some Meguirs #82 professional SWIRL FREE POLISH and go around it a couple of times,Then follow up with a Carnuba wax
