decal removal

i took these ugly decals off my truck yesterday. it looks a lot better but when you look closely, you can still see where the stickers were. i got all of the adhesive residue off of it. it looks like where the stickers were is raised or maybe a little off color. anyone know how to fix this problem? would waxing work? or maybe some really fine rubbing compound or a clay bar? thanks.

Re: decal removal

clay bar and a good cleaner wax followed by a good carnuba wax will do the trick. Did for me on my red 97 (red fades worse than any other color generally)
