decal glue

i found out the other day, that using a heat gun to take the decals off and then using acitone to take off the glue works awesome!

yeah heat guns work nicely, id stay away from acetone tho, thats a pretty wicked solvent, i always used lighter fluid to get the glue cause it wont mess up plastics or eat up your paint, acetone is pretty much safe on a base/clear paintjob but any guys out there with single stages could have problems

Ya screw acetone. Use mineral spirits. I am a detailer at a chevy dealership and we have had more than one bad encounter with acetone. That will chew the clear right off the paint. 3M makes a product "3M adhesive remover" which is just mineral spirits. Works good

stay away from acetone, laquer thinner also works well for removing tar and sticky shit, just rewax the area when your done.
