Dash cleaning

What do people use on the dash to prevent cracking? I have heard from people that Armor All will eventually make a dash crack. Is that true or just BS?? Thanks.

Re: Dash cleaning

One method I learned the hard way to prevent dash cracking: if you have one of those big older style GPS's that compared to the new slim ones are huge in size, don't leave it suction-cupped to the windshield in the hot sun. Mine decided to jump off of the windshield one day and put a nice crack in my dash upon landing

As for protectant, I've also heard about the Armor All thing. I use Meguiar's Interior Detailer which is supposed to be silicone based rather than water based.

thats bad on tires. it looks good sitting, but as soon as youre mobile it flings off and you get spots on your paint, and then when you try to wipe it off it smudges haha. i use armor all on my tires, and on my dash as well. and like the guy a few posts above me said i do it every week just to keep it shiny and prevent cracks

Re: Dash cleaning

interesting topic, i know that if your dash is already cracked you can use baby oil to try and save it from cracking further....
