Coat chrome wheels with wax?

When i put my new wheels on my truck should i coat them with any protector. Like put a coat of wax on them or anything like that/

I use Mothers Chrome Polish on mine everytime I wash the truck, which I do every week.

cleaning your wheels is like cleaning your paint.

first wash them throughly to make sure they are clean.
allow to dry.
then use a polish on them to bring out the luster.
last use a sealer (wax) to seal the finish.

remember wax is not a polish. if you do not clean then polish the wheels first the wax will seal in any contaminants under it, thus making it that much harder to clean the next time.

i wash them first, then i use eagle one nevr dull on them, and then for wax i use meguiars spray on wax. wire wheels shine

There are waxes made for wheels. They help resist brake dust and such much better than your everyday paint wax.

American Racing has a wheel wax that works awesome. Can be used on any wheel finish.
