I perfer using a hand mitten over a normal sponge but it gets so scummey after washing once so i just throw it in with my laundry and it comes out nice and clean. Is this ok to do will using the era and frabic softner on it affect my clear coat/paint when i use it to wash my ride again anyone do the same as me?

Re: Cleaning your wash mitt?

You will be fine. It will be a lot better than someone who lets theirs get contaminated. That is what will mess up your paint. I have always washed mine with only positive results.

Re: Cleaning your wash mitt?

i dont think you're supposed to use fabric softener on the mit, i dont think it hurts as much as it leaves smudges....era is liquid detergent, right?

might be a question for thewaxforum.

Re: Cleaning your wash mitt?

You don't want to use fabric softner because it will leave streaks and such and contaminate (sp) the paint...
