cleaning wire wheels

Whats the best way to clean 13"-20" wire wheels? With all of those spokes I can't seem to find anything to get in between them to "agitate" the brake dust/road grime.

Re: cleaning wire wheels

AAAAHHH!!!!Why does everybody on here dislike wire wheels!? I mean, they dont show lug nuts, they are easy to take on/off, and they are cheap. I can burn out my tires and buy four more for $100 or less. I like the old school look. The only downside is keeping them clean...

Re: cleaning wire wheels

depending on their finish, just a soft scrub brush. if you want to get crazy, get an old tooth brush.

Re: cleaning wire wheels

everytime I go to walmart to pick up wheel cleaner, the meguairs is sold out-must be good stuff-the spray I use now gets alot of brake dust off but not all. I thought about using a tooth brush but did not want to scratch the chrome. I'll see if I can find a old soft brush somewhere. The auto shops around here dont sell anything small and soft enought to get in between the spokes. thanks for the help.
