Re: cleaning tint ?

I would think windex and paper towel. I've had tinted windows for a few years and always used it

Re: cleaning tint ?

You can use any glass cleaner as long as it doesn't have amonia in it.

Well said! NO AMMONIA! Turns tint purple or fades it. I use Johnson & Johnson No Tears baby shampoo for cleaning and applying tint. It's cheap and lasts forever! Use newspaper for best results.

Oh ya> Just use a spray bottle w/ about 10 drops of J&J shampoo and water....Done deal!

DO NOT use windex. Windex contains ammonia which will damage your tint. Also paper towels are much too rough for tint(most brands anyway). Just use some clean water and wipe it dry with a soft cloth. Or you could find a product that is ammonia free and use that but water should be fine...Just how dirty can your interior windows become anyway? Unless of course your about to take a sip of your soda and you hit a big a$$ bump or something?

Re: cleaning tint ?

Sprayway is a great ammonia free glass cleaner, it foams so it doesn't run down the window either.

Re: cleaning tint ?

Dont use ammonia. Just buy the safe window cleaner meant for tint at the auto store & be done with it. Paper towels will not harm your tint. I have used it for 14 years & I have never had a vehicle with out tint. I smoke so I have get that extra filmy crap off too but dont want to spend a year smearing it around. I go to the gas station & I use their sqeegy & clean the outside of the windows. Then I do the inside window with it too. It doesnt waste your time smearing it. You can do it once, if very dirty, do it twice & you will have no residue or anything. It doenst harm tint either.

Re: cleaning tint ?

Like they said, do NOT ever use any cleaner with ammonia!

Eagle 20/20 is okay.......I like Stoner's glas cleaner....its in a spray can......bad ass stuff.....also, www.tropi-care.com makes an awesome glass cleaner.......i've been using it in conjunction with a microfiber towel, and it works as well as newspaper.....its awesome
