clean windshield

on my yukon, i noticed when i drive at night or day time with wipers on when raining, its like hazy when i try to look through, someone said to me i can compound the windshield, is this true and if so what do i use? its not pitted just when wipers are on when wet out its a weird haze, when dry its crystal clear

a little OT but its .ext cab (see sig)

ohh also could the haziness be oil from the roadway (splashing on your windshield from the car in front)? when it first starts raining my windshield is also hazy but it goes away since is oil from the road.

Re: clean windshield

My brother-in-law just had me clean the windows on his cop car. You spray window cleaner on the glass, then rub it all down with steel wool, then wipe that off with a moist shammy, then wipe it dry with a paper towel. You could see if that does anything for ya.
