Clean up that faded plastic
So I got curious today. My side mirrors and bug deflector are a little dull. I have some 3M rubbing compound (fine cut) that I've been using on my computer mod's paint job to give it that mirror finish. In about 5 minutes, I got the bug deflector looking like new. I even tried a little bit on the rims. They're stock and look like hell. It's cleaning those up pretty good too. Check out the center cap.

You don't need to touch your monitor, it doesn't do anything except leave smears, lol.

Re: Clean up that faded plastic
Did you do it by hand or with a buffer? Looks good.

Re: Clean up that faded plastic
I did it by hand with an old tshirt. Took about 15 minutes. You can see a couple of places where the dirt was REALLY caked on. I used my dremel with a brass brush attachment to clean that up.
