Re: Chrome and Tire shine
turtle wax makes this stuff that goes on just like wax it work well.
if ur crome is new then use windex and wax. if its gettin old use this stuff called blue magic metal polish u can get it at autozone or advanced in a blue container about half the height of a soda can it leaves a silicon coating on the wheels so water beads. but u can also wax em for silky smooth no dirt collectin chrome |

Re: Chrome and Tire shine
Mothers sells a good chrome polish. Then wax over it after you polish. My favorite for tire application is Mequires long lasting tire gel. It is purple & smells like grape. You need the little tire sponge for best results. It doesnt throw alot of crap all over my truck & lasts. After a couple days of dust, I will run the sponge over them again & it re-shines them without having to put more on.

Go here and see if anyone around you is an autorized dealer. The best stuff $$ can buy. They also sell a tire dressing called "Ice Dressing" that stays on your tires for over a week even in the rain. Its all the stuff pro's use. http://www.prowax.com/1_distributor.shtml

Re: Chrome and Tire shine
the trick to getting tires to shine for a long time is to keep them treated with the dressing
if you apply it liberally a few times a week.. when u wash then put it on it will last longer and take less to shine them up i use the black magic shit... and wipe it on with a rag.. that way it doesn't get on the wheels  |

Re: Chrome and Tire shine
I have said this before and no one seems to be listening because I never see anyone else using it, but anyway, Zaino Bros tire gloss is awesome for tires and does not spin or wash off. You will have amazing results with it, especially on black paint that tends to get oily shit like the auto parts stores sell all over the truck. Here is a link for your convenience. By the way for $12.95 a bottle you are buying enough to do tires for nearly a year.

Re: Chrome and Tire shine
I spray black magic on a foam mop head and apply it onto my tire from there. I use the mop head because it is the same as those tire sponges, only bigger. I hate over spray onto the wheels.

Re: Chrome and Tire shine
I'm with my Jayhawk friend on this one. I've been using the Zaino since 99. Now for my vehicles with white letter tires, I prefer to spray on the tires so I don't blacken the letters. For white letter tires I use the "More shine less time" from Stoner solutions. I bought a case last year. It's also good for spraying inside the wheel wells for a nice clean look. Steve |
