California squeeg
if you have verer seen the California squeege it looks like you can only use it for your windows but it works great 0n any Truck it dosent scratch paint or leave water beeds on you vehical. Afater you finish useing it and some paper towles (my little screct) you feel like you spent hours on drying your Truck but it realy only takes like 10 -12 min if you get good at it like me and your Truck will have that show look to it.

I used to use a leather chamois but now I use this synthetic sponge cloth and it works much better. I think its called "The Absorber". Dries it in no time

Yeah I just bought the absorber last night. It did a good job on my truck. I also want to get the CA. Blade too. I think I saw it on the net for 16.99.

I wish I had a Wal-Mart here. We only have Meijer and Kmart. Meijer didn't have one but maybe Kmart does I'll check there.

The only problem about the water blade is that you can get dirt or anything else trapped between the blade and the paint and scratch the finish.

If you know how to wash there shouldnt be any dirt
I saw a cheaper version @ wally world & the original California one. I think they both had California in the name though? Well , I have had good luck with their car duster for several years so i bought it the other day for $20, but havent used it yet. My neighbor uses it all the time. I used the absorber when it first came out. I think it is a waste of $$. I regular chamois worked 10 X's better IMO. |

what i like to use is the air compressor myself. It takes some time (alot of time) but there is no rubbing, no squeggies or anything. Just air. gets in the hard to reach spots and no worries about scratching. if you have time. i would try that.

I bought a cali blade few months ago, 2 weeks later I gave it to a friend, and sine then he has got rid of it..lol Its nice for large areas, but you still have to use something for the cracks, i think a absorbing cloth works much better, i ended up buying one called The Viking, and it works great! And it was cheaper then the cali blade..

That's usually what I do..I'll go drive around at 80 or so for a couple minutes and then go back home and dry off any that didn't come off.

Re: California squeeg
The only shitty part about that is when your driving dust and dirt gets on your paint so when you go back to wipe it off you have the high chance of wiping off dirt at the same time and putting swirls in your paint.

Re: California squeeg
Ive been using the California Blade for a while now and I like it. I use it on the roof, glass, hood, and of course the fiberglass tonneau cover...it can be a pain in the ass drying all the water off of that thing so a couple swipes and your done. I dont really use it on the sides of the truck because by the time i get around after working my way from top to bottom there isnt much water left to dry off. But even if you just use it on a hard tonneau cover its definately worth it.

Re: California squeeg
i use that, followed by a chamois. i see a fair share of imperfections in the clear, but that could be due to soo many things on a 2 year old paintjob.

Re: California squeeg
I use a Cali water blade on my black truck too, just make sure it's clean and i've had no problems at all, followed with a waffle weave towel and it's completey dry in 10 minutes.
