bug guts and stuff!!

What's a good way to get a few years worth of bugs off the front part of the hood. Not like the bugs are just stuck on there, but it's like it's IN the paint. I don't know how to explain it and I don't have pictures, but maybe someone has an idea of what i'm saying. Would a clay bar work for this or Meguiars three step?

Re: bug guts and stuff!!

First wash as much of the crap off as you can. Then get some bug and tar remover. Then get some "detailing clay". Resoap the area with the car soap and scrub the clay over the remaining crud. THEN polish the are and finish up with a "quality" wax. Any future bugs are easy to wash off once there is a wax coating on the paint. Here is a place to get "quality" products.
