Buffing Chrome Rims
I've had my same set of chrome rims, 16 in, now for about 4 years now, and they're still in really good shape, no dents, dings, pings, curb rubs, I've been real lucky with them, they're not getting dull but they're not quite as shiny as they once were, so I was wondering what is the best way to buff my rims. I've heard some people say lightly wet sand them with like 2000 grit sandpaper, and then buff them with a chrome cleaning compound, but I thought one of you guys would now and could tell me the way to do it. thanks in advance.

Re: Buffing Chrome Rims
Dont do that. You can go to Sears Hardware, etc.... & get a nice drill buffer wheel. Then use the lightest compound bar you can find. I think it will be white. Turn on the buffer & touch the bar to the wheel to get it on the wheel. Then use it on your wheels & it will look like new. I did it with unprotected polished aluminum, but did a coarser bar, then the white, & they looked like new & it also took off all the crap that wouldnt come off through cleaning.
