Brown dashboard

I have a 97' with a light gray dashboard. It has a lot of brown areas on it could this be "burn?" I've always used Armor All on it but this isn't helping anymore. Does anyone know of a way to clean this or is it literally toasted? THANKS!

Re: Brown dashboard

Could be cigarette smoke as well. I have used mild soap and water and tons of elbow grease. Than I typically follow it up with a nu finish and more elbow grease.

Re: Brown dashboard

Find a cool area out of the sun and Mr Clean Eraser's

Seems to be a trait with out color interiors. Mines not THAT bad
but I know what you are dealing with.

Once clean follow up with an armor all or something equivalent.

Re: Brown dashboard

armor all is bad for your dash, it is silicon based and makes your plastics almost addicted to it, and from the sun beating on it, it causes premature cracking and fading, so you can try cleaning it with an all purpose cleaner, but i dont think your going to get the spots off

Re: Brown dashboard

Get a brush with a little water and try just scrubbing it, then get a towel and just wipe over it to get away the water. It might just be dirt in the texture. Is it on the handles too or anywhere else?

To shine it I don't know what to recommend. At my work we use this milky pink solution for most plastic, vinyl, and leather. I will check the name next time I go in.

Re: Brown dashboard

Try using spray power as that is what I used to revive my dash....
