Black plastic trim

I have a black blazer. The black plastic trim around the rear side windows started to look a little oxidized. So, I put Mother's Back to Black on the trim. I put it on , let sit and buffed. It looked ok. Next day it looks all streaked, looks bad. Buffed some more no change. What's up with this? any suggestions?

Thanks, j1123s

Re: Black plastic trim

Try Meguiars #38 Tire/Trim Dressing. It's a professional product so you'll have to get it online or at an auto paint store. I find it lasts longer than anything else I tried.

You can find it on store shelves, not all auto parts stores carry it but some should.

Try Klasse AIO. It's a polish that can be used on plastics, rubbers, painted surfaces, pretty much everything. And it does a damn good job too
And you can't find Klasse everywhere. A few auto parts places might have it, or a detailing store if there;s one around you. If not, ordering it off the net is the only way.

Poorboys Trim Restorer is a good product too. go to www.poorboysworld.com and look for it

Re: Black plastic trim

for my plastic trim I used either tire dressing or meguiars natural shine...you have to make sure not to used too much or it will run with the sun beating down on it or if it rains a good bit...I also find that wax as you dry spray wax works fairly well also...
