black paint is a bitch, what to do?
ok what is the absolute best cleaners for black paint? i have tried tons of stuff to get rid of swirl marks and oxidation and nothing does anyhting..is there anything out there that will make my black paint look awesome? i want a nice deep mirror image on my paint but nothing works and its really pissing me off...

I do this stuff for a living.... The only thing to get rid of swirl marks and oxidation is to buff it. If you dont know how to buff it then pay someone to. I seriously doubt you do, but if you live near southern Mississippi, I can do it for you pretty cheap.

the buffer we use is about 185 to buy. Then we have 5 different types of pads and about 6 different types of compounds. You have to know what type of pad and what type of compound to use or there will be swirl marks from buffing.

you gotta learn sometime. Of course, I was just looking through a book I found my dad had on body work, painting, etc. and it said something along the lines of "volunteer to do it on a neighbors car first, preferrably one you don't like"

we charge about 140 for a buff that removes everything but swirls, and to get swirls out its about 260-300
|

don't use the brushes at car washes, do it by hand. That's what gives you scratches and swirls, also waxing the wrong way leaves swirls, all types of things. I can't count the customers that have come to me wanting to get it right. I charge cheaper because I get my product cheaper from my dealer.
