Re: Black crap!!!!

I got the same shit, I'd like to know. I read on here I think to try peanut butter. Something about oily substances breaks up the tar.

Re: Black crap!!!!

Use bar and tar remover. and some cleaner wax, not caranuba wax. If that doesnt work get some heavy cut compund and a buffer and rub it out

Re: Black crap!!!!

laquer thinner/light fluid. if it's real thick and heavy, use a brush to scrub it off.

Lacquer thinner is not good for finished paint. It will remove your clearcoat and then your basecoat.

I didn't know that, we would use that at work all the time. Never caused any problems for us. Thanks for the heads up

Re: Black crap!!!!

if it's road tar, try using spraying WD-40 on a rag and wipe it off. Just make sure you get all of the WD-40 off, it tracks dirt.

Re: Black crap!!!!

Go buy a clay bar if you don't have one, and that should do the trick. If it doesn't work too well, use some Castrol Super Clean diluted with water at about 75/25 and let it sit for a few minutes and then run the clay bar over it. You MUST ilute it because it's harsh shit, but I imagine you can get everything off with the clay bar. I've been able to remove almost anything with them. Follow everything up with a mildly abrasive polish or a cleaner wax, top it off with your favorite wax or sealant and you're good to go

I know people who use it all the time.If wiped on and off with a rag nothing bad happens. If poured on and let sit, yeah its bad.Because then it has time to get into the paint.

It's removing a thin layer of paint each time you use it. You won't notice it until its worn through the clearcoat. Their are other products on the market that do just as good of job, and won't harm your paint.
