Best way to get this off. pics inside

when i evcuated for hurricane katrina my truck sat around for abou 3 months and i didn't wash te truck for like a month before that. So the brake dust sat up on it for soem time and now i have to get some help on getting the brake dust off my rims. washed it, used mothers chrome polisher, used a brush.

What is the most effective thing I can use to get the clumps of brake dust off, or are the rims screwed up

Looks to be some bad pitting, maybe not repairable.
