best way to clean up an intake

I have a junkyard cavi intake id like to install, but it needs a good run down with some cleaner. I dont want to damage the seal or dry it out. Would simple green do just fine? and do I need to replace the seal anyways?

what seal? just soak it in some engine bright and run it thru a parts washer

get this shit called purple power, i used it to clean all the gunk off my quad when i was putting a new carb on and i was amazed with it. its like 15bucks at autozone works awesome

that orange seal that goes around all the ports...and ill check out that purple power thanks!
