Re: best tire cleaning product?

turtle wax f21 works really well for me, just spray it on, let it sit a minute, scrub a little, and rinse off, its cheap too!

pretty much any kind of degreaser will clean them ok though with enough scrubbing, but the turtle wx stuff actuall makes the letters really white

not particularly that brand but anything gel, the foam tire shine just sucks ass and turns your tires brown, then you have to do more work getting them to their natural color again.

and i dont know what roads your driving down but my tires stay shiny and black for weeks before they start to get dirty and its on my daily too (20+ miles a day). Guess our streets are not as dusty or something

Re: best tire cleaning product?

i hate armourall, makes my tires so greasy, at least in my experiance
i just went at the tires with some warm water and a scrub brush, got them a lot cleaner already. i think ill just use some soap to get them cleaner and use my tire shine before teh shows

Re: best tire cleaning product?

as far as tire wet, I use meguiars hot shine in the aerosol can, it makes them really black and glossy, it dries quick, and doesnt attract dust... great for me since I live up a road that is shared by a strip mine, it is never not dusty!

Re: best tire cleaning product?

Try Purple Power Degreaser. Agitate with a stiff bristle brush, then rinse. Repeat is necessary.

Re: best tire cleaning product?

I use an SOS Pad, works awesome. One pad can do four tires. They'll be factory black when done, then just use any good gloss.

Might take a bit more effort than most methods, but produces a damn fine result.

Re: best tire cleaning product?

Not a big fan of any Armor All products, Armor all washes off the tires as soon as they get wet. I like Eagle One A2Z All Wheel & Tire Cleaner followed up with Eagle One Tire Shine. I use the Tire Shine spray, instead of spraying it directly on the tire I spray in on a Tire Swipe first and then apply it to the tire. After it sets for about 5 minutes or so I wipe the tire down with a dry towel (the tire is just as black but has more of a satin sheen to them, which I prefer to the high gloss shine).

Re: best tire cleaning product?

Purple Power. the weeklong stained mud just melts off of my tires after spraying them down with purple power and hosing the tires off on the "jet stream" setting on my water nozzle.

Re: best tire cleaning product?

to clean white lettered tires, fantastik works wonders. I don't get it on the rims or paint cuz idk what it would to to it, but the mud and black crap just washes away. I spray the letters with just a little fantastik, use a firm brisle brush, scrub for a min, then hose it off. It works wonders for white lettered tires, but it doesn't shine them, fyi. I have been doing it for years now, and it hasn't affected the rubber or the white paint on the letters either.

they look pretty brown in your sig, even though it's photoshopped. And bean is right, the foam shit will turn your tires brown, or it will just leave a coat on your tire not letting water/cleaners penetrate the surface. the gel stays on, until you wash it, then it comes right off, which is good, because you can actually clean the tire itself.
