Best element for cleaning my chrome rims..

I used maguires chrome rim cleaner and it left some smear marks on it.... then i used this other wheel cleaner which pretty much did the same thing.... so i went back to using the best element to leave my chrome rims nice and shiny.... water.

I put water in a squirt bottle and use it to clean my rims... and they look brand new now.

Re: Best element for cleaning my chrome rims..

best thing on chrome rims when they are clean is never dull. works wonders. what i also use is good for pitting or rusty wheels that are chrome is water the rim then soak a brillo pad in water wipe and lightly scrub the rim with the brillo pad, then wash off, dry, and then follow up with the never dull works wonders.

When I had chrome, all I used was a bucket of mild soap and water and a bit of elbow grease. I didnt really like those wheel cleaners because they didnt do jack and they can just ruin what youve got. Once a month I would throw some wax on them as well to keep finish looking new.

I just use windex to get the shine after washing with soap and water. I used wheel cleaner before and missed a couple spots when rubbing it off and it ruin the chrome. It left marks that wouldn't come off. I also used the turtle wax for chrome to keep them looking new.

Re: Best element for cleaning my chrome rims..

if u left spots when ur using chrome cleaner u did too much of the rim at once. ur should just do a small section so the cleaner doesn't dry and leave spots. plus depending on what rim cleaner ur using ie. never dull never put the little cotton down on the ground cause that can pick up anything on the ground and also ruin ur rims. i've never had a problem with never dull as long as u don't do too much at one time
