bad fart?

everytime I park in the garage, the inside of my truck smells horrible, like a bad fart, but only when I park in the garage, if i park outside, no smell. It's really bad, and i don't want to park outside all the time because it gets really cold here in nebraska.

any suggestions. and i have already tried fabreeze(sp?) and leaving my windows cracked and they don't help.

Thanks

Re: bad fart?

you can smell a fart better in a garage than you can outside.

Re: bad fart?

Yea inside your garage is enclosed with not as good air flow as the outside, but yea the converter could be or there is something dead somewhere lol hard to tell.

I don't think it's the cat converter (but one of my friends thinks on of our cats took a shit in there) cause it doesn't matter how long the truck sets

Re: bad fart?

it's a 99, but i'm pretty sure it isn't anything dead or anything like that cause i'm anal about how clean it is. i'm gonna break out the shop vac tommorrow and see it makes a difference. my truck originally had the rubber floor, and i got a 60/40 bench and carpet out of a 2000 extended cab that had been out side for a while. We cleaned the carpet and the seats, but there might be something under the carpet, because i left the rubber down under the carpet.

Thanks for all the help, you guys don't know how bad it is.

Re: bad fart?

I don't think this matters, but my clutch leaks a tiny bit into the cab, but its only like a 1/4 of a teaspoon every couple of months. but on the drivers side, most of the wires under the dash are coated in brake fluid

Re: bad fart?

really? Once in a while I will have one that smells good, like something I just ate. Then I am hungry again. And it's kinda gross.
