Avalanche plastic care

I know theres a few pro detailers on here (Tex Star Detail i think it is) I just bought an Avalanche without the body hardware but the bed cover is in need of some care. What can I apply to bring the luster back? I know Meguiars has some plastic care and some other do as well. Whats the best and what "ingrediant" is most important to look for?

Trim: OK now the test. Well I will tell you that as good as Black Wow is it is somewhat of a chore to use for large areas, and this thing had a lot of area. So I decided to use a thin line about 2.5" long on the center of my TW MF applicator and then I ran a line around the edge of the applicator with CGs Trim Gel. This combo worked great and I didn't have to use much elbow grease at all. I did all the trim with this method and boy did that trim just soak up my mixture of Black Wow and CGs Trim Gel. Here is a 50/50 shot for you:

I really wanted to make sure this trim stays like this and wanted to give it something to hopefully help it last. On bumpers that aren't that bad I usually use MS Quick Details (which is a lot like Stoners Trim Shine). So after my application of BW and CGs TG I decided to spray it down with MS QDs to kind of lock in the look. Here are some before and afters of the trim:

Re: Avalanche plastic care

turtle wax ice works great on plastics.
best shit I've tried so far. but not so much for the paint. LOL

I've also used honda spray polish for motorcycles with fantastic results.

Re: Avalanche plastic care

thanks for the replies guys. I just want to make sure also that whatever I put on isn't going to run off when it rains or when I was it.

Re: Avalanche plastic care

Reapllying doesn't bother me. I just don't want anything that washes away or runs with the weather as soon as water hits it. When I detailed at the dealership they had us putting silicone tire shine on the plasitc so it looked shiney on the lot but it looked like hell as soon as it rained.

Re: Avalanche plastic care

For years now, I've always used Aerospace 303 Protectant on all my plastic, vinyl and leather. No silicon in it, and doesn't attract dust. It cleans and protects if you apply several coats and last a long time too.
