Avalanche plastic care
I know theres a few pro detailers on here (Tex Star Detail i think it is) I just bought an Avalanche without the body hardware but the bed cover is in need of some care. What can I apply to bring the luster back? I know Meguiars has some plastic care and some other do as well. Whats the best and what "ingrediant" is most important to look for?

Re: Avalanche plastic care
turtle wax ice works great on plastics.
best shit I've tried so far. but not so much for the paint. LOL I've also used honda spray polish for motorcycles with fantastic results. Last edited by serpentracer : 01-06-2009 at 12:22 AM. |

Re: Avalanche plastic care
thanks for the replies guys. I just want to make sure also that whatever I put on isn't going to run off when it rains or when I was it.

Re: Avalanche plastic care
You'll have to reapply every few months but big deal. It's a good truck. I was eyeballing them but too $$$ atm. Nice truck mon.

Re: Avalanche plastic care
Reapllying doesn't bother me. I just don't want anything that washes away or runs with the weather as soon as water hits it. When I detailed at the dealership they had us putting silicone tire shine on the plasitc so it looked shiney on the lot but it looked like hell as soon as it rained.

Re: Avalanche plastic care
For years now, I've always used Aerospace 303 Protectant on all my plastic, vinyl and leather. No silicon in it, and doesn't attract dust. It cleans and protects if you apply several coats and last a long time too.
