Are my wheels history?? Pics..

I have the MB Vintage's. I'm not sure what they're made of but here's the website: MB Wheels - Vintage

Now, I had to leave the truck over at my dad's work for a couple of weeks, and I don't know what happened, but maybe sprinklers sprayed on them...
I've tried spraying them with Meguiar's wheel cleaner, and later buffed them out with Mother's Chrome Polish and a Power Ball...not even a bit better. Please help out

Stop using all the wrong crap on them.
You do not have chrome rims so don't use chrome polish (it's not really polish anyways).
Don't use any cleaner crap, just use regular soap and water. Those cleaners aren't always safe.

Looks like hard water from the sprinkers that got baked in by the sun, I had similiar stains on some rims.

I used Mothers Billet Polish (the little expensive jar) on mine.

Some pics showing the difference.

Now, if you rims are like my Centerlines, they respond extremely well to the Mothers Billet Polish.

Re: Are my wheels history?? Pics..

i had the same thing happen to mine. my wheels sat for like 9 months untouched. i tried the mothers billet polish with no luck. then i bought a drill and the power ball with some aluminum polish. worked fine. actually better then fine. the thing with the power ball you have to do is keep it on one spot for a while like 10 seconds or so, well at least i did. you will start to notice that stuff come up. first i hit them with the ball then rubbed the polish of with two clean rags. one for the excessive stuff. the other to get th stuff i missed with the first rag.

I use the Mother Billet Polish with these:

They're like $2 - $6 at the hot rod swapmeets.

I guess I'll give Mother's Billet Polish a try, if no luck still then I'll try some Aluminum Polish. Any particular brand of Aluminum Polish to look for?

Re: Are my wheels history?? Pics..

get some Power Metal and a Power Ball, spend a ton of time on them and then spend the $100 and seal them with Zoop Seal. It will last, they will be protected and you you wont have to worry about driving in the rain or leaving the truck outside when they are wet. If you are lucky enough to find a product made by Ardex called Metal Mania, spend the $20 on that instead of the Power Metal. A detail shop should be able to hook you up with getting the Metal Mania. It works about 100% better than any Mothers Billet polish.

I can vouch for that metal mania that tony mentioned, I've used it up at northtown a cuple times. It seems to take litte effort at all. Granted I've never used the mothers.

Re: Are my wheels history?? Pics..

I've heard of Zoop Seal before and it sounds great, I'd love to get some but it's a bit expensive if you ask me... I'll look into the Metal Mania product.
The wheels are completely spotless tho, I mean, completely brand new and I even ended up driving by a sprinkler this morning, I got to school 45 mins later and the wheels were fine. It worked perfectly.
