Antifreeze on raw metal

How do you clean antifreeze off of raw metal parts? I spilled antifreeze on some metal parts? I have grinded them and sprayed them down with wd40. They are still getting this white crap on them. What do you guys think i should do to them?

Re: Antifreeze on raw metal

I would try some brake clean that may help get the Glycol off the metal, so my answer is spray it with rake clean then wire brush it and sane it down. good luck.

Re: Antifreeze on raw metal

hot soapy water. when you sand it, it gets in the grains of the metal, and basically etches into it.
