Anitfreeze!

Ok so when i bought my truck the guy who had it before me had a antifreeze leak from the heater coil! And it leaked inside the cab... SO on my passenger side there is antifreeze fluid in the carpet. I have shampooed my carpets more than once but it wont come out! Anyone have any idea how i can get it out? And what to use? thanks for the help!

Re: Anitfreeze!

Try some prochem products w/ a hot water extractor. You can make a homemade version if nobody local to you has one. Just hook up to the sink, turn it on hot, and after pretreating and agitating w/ the chemical, spray a little hot water on there, then extract w/ a shop vac. Blot to help dry and leave the windows down w/ a fan inside to help circulate air and get the carpet dry. Should do the trick I would think.
