Guys,
I decided to pull the pinstriping off my truck yesterday after seeing how crappy and stuff it looks since I mainly use it as a work truck. After pulling it off though, there are two small lines where the edges of the pinstriping used to be. Will just rubbing compound get this off or is there something else I can use? It looks good w/o the pinstriping, but the white lines kill it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Zach |

Re: After pinstriping is pulled off....
you may have the glue left there where the stripe WAS hence the "white" you speak of. try to use something like goof off or rubbing alcohol or some type of light solvent first than possibly a light compound than a polish than a wax. the problem your having where the stripe WAS is that your truck is slightly faded while where the stripe WAS is new paint never been faded from the sun yet. ![]() |

Re: After pinstriping is pulled off....
Here it is at Eastwood for 14.99 http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?i...emType=PRODUCT when I pulled off the pinstripe I just did it in the sun, then went over it with my buffer and glaze. The only issue I had was when the cowl hood was painted they cleared over the front pinstripe. I had to pull the stripe off, I used a razorblade to take the hard edge off, then wet sand with 2000 then buff. No line, perfect blend |
