Adams care care products.

Was talking with this guy who has prepped rides for the Oakland Roadster Show.
He was telling me that all he uses is Adams products. Anybody try these products ?
I just saw a pic of a Vette at the website. It still looks like it's wet from
paint job, but it's just cleaned and waxed using this product. Ck it out..

Re: Adams care care products.

Derek, have you used these products on your own vehicle ? If so would you mind posting
a pic so we could see how it performs on a factory paint job, if that's what you have ?
Thanks..

Re: Adams care care products.

I do not currently have pictures of my own truck since it is still in storage and has not been detailed this spring yet. I am waiting to pick up my interior from the bodyshop, hopefully late this week. Once everything is back in I will be doing a full detail with Adam's & Poorboy's products. I will of course be taking loads of picture

Re: Adams care care products.

Actually..., pics of a detail on the internet is not a good way to judge a product.
Pics can be very decieving and can look much better in the pic than in person- lighting and such can have dramatically different looks.

IMO, try the products to see if you like them or not is the best way to see what it is like.
That is the nice thing about polishes and waxes, most are under $20ea and you can try a Lot of products for that price

Everyone has personal preferences with detailing products and I have tested many over the years, both professionally and as a hobby and have found "most" to perforn very similar.
There are only a few outsanding products on the market that are quite unique in chemical make-upand actually perform like a Ferarri compared to an old work car.

Needless to say, there are different levels in quality and performance and $$$ does not necessarily mean a better product. IMO, the best products on the market are well under $20 a bottle

Hope this helps...

Re: Adams care care products.

Pics don't show the process either, and that is more important than the product IMO.

Re: Adams care care products.

I only use Adam's products and have for a few years now. They are only a few minutes from my house. Adam actually was living out of his warehouse for a while which was a tiny warehouse to begin with.

Re: Adams care care products.

I agree (sorta) that pictures on the internet don't show 100% true results. I do think they give you an idea of what the product can do but as Mike said, 90% is paint prep. You can use the best products on the market and it dont mean much if you arnt preping the paint correctly. I do recommend trying the products since that is the only way you can really have an opinion. I have them and do use them and thats why I sell them. Adam's stuff is very easy to use (easy on, easy off) and give good results.

I agree 100%
Every product will work..., some better than others, some use cheap ingredients, others use only the best available.

Just walk through a used car lot at noon and look at the swirls.
That is an example of poor process. You could use the best product and if it is not correctly applied, the results will be poor.
On the other hand, I have used products that are "no name brand" and have had good results.

Process, Process, Process...

The difference in the products are how well the products are controled during production (ex. ISO Certified) so every batch is the exact same time after time. (there are a few "bath-tubbers" around, LOL!!

You want to know when you pick up a product labeled as a final polish, the abraisives are lighter than the medium polish, today, tomorrow and 5 years from now.
I have watched some products(I test them for shelf life also) turn brown/almost black from bacteria in the batches, so you want to be carefull.

You can do a search on products for further information and reviews/opinions..., but remember, it is usually only another opinion by someone with knowledge limited by how many products they have personally tested.

One trusted and IMO, top "real world" reviewer is Steve Litscher of the GURU Reports.
If something works, he reports it, if something fails, he also reports that, as he is one of the few in the biz that is not "paid off" to give a good review.
His reviews seem to mirror my own results..., great guy too

As Derek said..., If you want an opinion, you have to try it first... and to compare them, you have to try 100's of them, that is when you start to notice a trend and which products have the same performance..., some good, some bad.

Try it and see if it is the one for you..., and if you get "addicted", there are 1,000's more to try too

Re: Adams care care products.

Hey those are all excellant points. I don't think anything will save my ole paint job, era 1992
single stage from the factory, but it's alwys nice to get other's thoughts on something like
polishes that can either make or break your day. But as pointed out, prep is the most
important step. Thanks for your imput.
