suicide door kit for $139 is this real??!

so i was looking on gaugemagazine.com and found a kit with the latches hinges and install kit for only $139 ive seen these go for $450 and was wondering if there any good.. thanks

So if they can do them that cheap, dont mean its not good.

I just matched it up with the sd kit and it looks like something is missing,not too sure though.

i think ill get them but my neighbor has a hurse hes scraping with some hevy duty suicide hinges ill see if i can get them to work first.thanks i just wanted to know if anybody maybe had bad luck with these

SD's are bullett proof. I'm working on getting a set in the truck now. Hope to have it swinging by the end of the holiday weekend. Other than my own stupidity, they've been pretty easy to get in. Just a bit of a bind at full open to fix.

yep.... my buddy bought a set and they were completely junk. hell one of the hinges was welded together crocked. none of them swung smooth and they have a weird coating you need to grind off. suicide doors doesn't even make their own hinges they get them from a hot rod shop that has been making them in house for decades. just compare $400 with the price of any other door conversion and it will seem cheap in my book.

i have the hinges from SD and i love them, no issues what soever... only issue ive ever had is the door alignment last weekend at backwoods but i attribute that one to the body shop never dealing with a suicide door and not aligning it/tightening it enough but its all good now!

i think a big part of it would be in the installation...the cheaper ones may not necessarily be junk. its all a matter of opinion really.

you know they buy the suicide door kits from a hot rod shop in NC (i think) right? they don't build their own suicide door kits.

i have the gauge hinges they ar worth the money just dont get the poppers or the wire loom. poppers are to small and the wire loom is junk! they sent me the wrong loom and it binds up in the door
