steel or fiberglass rollpan?

got an s10 that i want to replace the stock bumper since the 94-97 versions are hideous

at the moment, looking on ebay and summit racing, seeing a lot of different kinds.

asking you guys who have bought them, whats a good brand/site and is steel/fiberglass better?

Re: steel or fiberglass rollpan?

grant steel as in this:

http://grantkustoms.com/catalog/prod...43b01e404493da

found that one. saying that it needs bodywork, meaning what?

i plan on buying one with the bolt on option and taking to a shop to get it painted/prepped.

Re: steel or fiberglass rollpan?

prolly means it needs spot putty for slight imperfections, just a guess tho.

Re: steel or fiberglass rollpan?

steel ftw. Plus certain states will give you a ticket for fiberglass if it's not reinforced behind it with metal.

i dont buy that at all... a sheetmetal pan doesnt offer any more protection than a fiberglass one does against a collision, thats why in many states rollpans are illegal, it just depends if the local law wants to bust your balls about it, because they can... but they often dont

but yeah, steel or nothing, fiberglass sucks
