i think that might work, the reverse opening hood hinges off of a buick.

I wish I could do this on my truck, but I don't feel like dis-assembling the whole front clip for it.

S-tang looks neat. It needs to be bagged and bodydropped imo.

Re: starting the S-Tang

bags are awaiting patiently on the shelve.
it will be the next step after the front is finished.
we will also be chopping the back of the bed to shorten it and make it sportier.

So, your friend showers you, and shows you pictures of ugly trucks?... you guys gotta weird friendship goin on. lol Anyway, I've seen this truck before, and have given it a name that I thought would be fitting. Since it's a mustang, and a ranger, I came up with... "The stranger".

The work on the poontang looks good...oops, I mean "S-tang". lol

That just looks weird. The mustang clip is too far up. It would look good lowered, and w/o the ground effects.....maybe....

yup! they are ordered and we are picking them up on thanksgiving weekend. should have pics the week after. i had the harderest time getting the right size and spacers and such. im a bit nervous that stuff wont fit right. we'll see!

granted its probably gonna look retarded since the truck will still sit a mile in the air.

Re: starting the S-Tang

we worked allll day from 11 to 8 and it seems like we got nothing done.
we finished welding in alllll the holes on the hood and fenders. we took off the bumper and enclosed the back side. all the constructions is done but we still have alot of tacking to do on the back of the bumper to seal everything.

we layed the first coat of tiger hair on all the seams on the hood and fender. the hubby left it up to me to mix the first layer and i guess i didnt put enough hardner so we were not able to continue working on that tonight. so we are leaving it to harden over night. i guess its not helping that the garage was pretty cold.

the pictures are boring but here we go. the work tomorow should be alot more fun. the bumper looked really good off the truck, but the pics just dont do it justice. i guess once its primed it will look better on picture.

correct, its a sonoma hood, that has been extented 10-12 inches in the front. the noma hood flows so much better with the mustang headlights. no s-tang should go without a noma hood!

i should have pics by tonight.

Re: starting the S-Tang

we worked like crazy for the last 3 days. its 1h30 am but we got it primed.

the bodywork is far from being completed but we had to shoot it with primer because we have to take it out for a trip out of town and its snowing.

this is the first time i have ever really done body work and i think i did a pretty good job.

the bumper only has the first coat of fiberglass on. still pretty rough.
