im assuming you mean the upper body line on the 1st gen trucks.... do not fill it with weld, that would be a mess that i will not even attempt to explain, my advice to make things as quick and easy as possible for you is to find a sheetmetal place that has a stomp shear, and have them cut the strips for you, much easier than making them yourself, and they will be perfectly straight strips

i heard drill a hole every 1/2" and pack it with fiberglass he said its held up great and its been 3 years but i was just going to weld mine like everybody else does

thats the halfass hack way to do it... if you want it done correctly then it needs to be welded

youre definitely going to want to use strips. fiberglass would not be the best way to go.

i used a rod in mine that filled the bodyline and kinda ground down one side flat then welded it in
