Relocating fuel filler neck?

I got a question...i saw in a magazine a truck that shaved the gas door, and relocated the filler neck to the rear drivers side fenderwell.....so when u go to get gas, the filler neck is infront of the rear wheel....u access it from the outside, not inside the bed....could this be done on an s10? I was taking a look yesterday, and im not sure if it will work because it seems like there wont be enough of an angle downwards on the filler neck towards the gastank....any input on this? and i cant put it in my bed, because i got all my air management in the bed

I dont know about doing that on an s-10 but i saw a f-150 with the filler in the door jam...wonder if thatll work???
