i know this thread shouldnt be used for idle chit chat... but i simply cant resist... LOL the skull master is garbage, not only do they look bad but every hack and their grandma uses them, money better spent elsewhere

stencils are fine when youre starting off and getting a feel for the brush and shading/shaping... but if you really want to get noticed, come up with your own skull design freehand, you can give it much more character than a stencil will and it will be original, nobody but you would use it

i am new to airbrushing hence the stencils i did my own skull and wasnt happy with it! im using the skull master to help get my layouts same with the live fire i used the french curves and it was alright but not great!!! i need more practice but im good on shirts much easier to lay paint on. which i have yet to see on here

nothing wrong with stencils to start out.....i started out with some craig fraser ones then i bought some stencil paper and made my own. No harm in using them to get the basic idea layed out. Using different colors....shading...styles.....or even different kind of paints is what makes your "stencil skull" stand out from the rest

panel i did for autoaircolors for their display, this is ALL waterbased paint (minus the clear)



between clear coat
all my skulls, i drew them all.

for all the chrome paint lovers, moto chrome with red candy on a tiki, dont have a pic of the whole thing tho....

thats just the smoke effect, old school, u use a oxy torch and have a dirty flame and use the soot off of it and get it to hit the surface and it will leave the black on it. then u candy over it and it will lock it down.

I'm glad to see someone else knew that. I tried it and love that effect. I'm thinkn about doin it to my blazer when I two tone, But I'm not sure. Heres a pic of what it looked like before kandy



As for the earlier question, I went to Blairsville campus. Didn't do me any good, I got out and couldn't find a job so I'm joinin the airforce. But I did learn some awsome stuff when I was there. they let me paint one of the Half cars too. Heres a couple of pics.

i went to the blairville campus.... grad about 5 years ago, took just about everything they had to offer cept ASM and upholstry.... lived on the top floor of the opera house in b-ville.... or as its better known.. the "animal house", had some good times there lol

the mailboxes that you build at wyotech as a comp arent to be used, they dont meet the postmaster general guidlines, i remember my old instructer saying that

my candy/flamed mailbox (you can see it in this thread) has been up for about 4 or 5 months now without a problem

Mine wll never go outside for thatexact reason. I may buy a regular one and paint it, but not the one I made. Mav you should remember the one the had at school. I'd like to have one like that.
