Pic request: Dark cherry red metallic paint on your dime

Everyone does black. Black looks sooooo f&ucking sweet when it's clean. And that's what I want(ed) because that was the original color and I have a black interior. That is until I got stoned, and imagined my truck in a dark red cherry metallic with a little bit of microflake. Laying frame on some chromies. Post pics.

Looks good, i'm debating. I'm really not wanting to put a stock color on, just what's in my head is hard to explain. More like a dark maroon with tons of clear. I'm almost ready to paint, and I want it to pop

The dark cherry red metaliiic on mine does change in darkness depending on the light and how clean/waxed it is.

Yeah a real dark, almost black, red can look VERY good. In fact if I repaint my truck next year, I'm just adding black and tons of flake to the stock color that it is now. But its either paint or bags sooooo who knows haha.

Re: Pic request: Dark cherry red metallic paint on your dime

It was filthy and unwaxed in that picture haha. But I had just done my wheels hah. I suppose if you tinted the stock color some you could get it about how you want it.

Re: Pic request: Dark cherry red metallic paint on your dime

there was a huge local car show here about a week ago and there was this flawless 68 nova there that was painted this very high pearl, really deep beautiful dark garnet/burgundy color and when the light hit it, some area (like corners and such) would highlight a ruby color, i was absolutely floored by this color

unfortunetly i could not find the owner to ask what system/color it was.... but it sounds like exactly what youre looking for

more than likely to get the look that youre after that has "pop", itll probably be cutsom and more than likely be a tri-stage paint, probably a high metallic gold or silver base, with a dark cherry candy (with or without pearl) sprayed over that, and of course layer after layer after layer of clear

Is the color i'm looking for called "brandywine" by chance? Simething with a bit more wine color, dark candy apple. It's really hard to explain. And the clear i'm wanting is to make it look like you can bite into it. Getting closer inprogress
