It'll look good if you just go with a chrome front end and black valence.

Re: Painting front air deflector
1. washing your nasty ass greasy hands with dawn dish soap 2.wash your parts with dish soap 3.let dry 4.now you can use a dry red scuff pad....it's easy to do this dry so you can see progress much better 5.after completely scuffed....wash with dish soap again.....after drying make sure there are no shiny spots....if it's shiny repeat step 4 6.you can use wax and grease remover now if you desire.....i prefer windex for prepping plastic 7.blow/tack 8.plastic adhesion promoter is next....bulldog is a good one.....ppg has a couple good ones and also i have used rattle can AP with no problems 9. i recommend a sealer....red scuff pads can leave random 'rake' marks which are easier to fill with sealer than basecoat......your brand of sealer will depend on the paint system used 10.basecoat..... 11.clearcoat..... btw.....i just painted a brand new gm grille for a red tri-stage blazer......i did it exactly as i explained i used PPG 'one choice' adhesion promoter.....ncs-2004 (gray) sealer....dbc basecoat.....2002 polyurethane clear |

Re: Painting front air deflector
you'd have to drop it off.....then pick it up later......i could paint it in my garage or i could use the booth....either way it wouldn't be a one day deal but it would cost you materials and a 12 pack when you drop it off and a case and a blunt when you pick it up ![]() |

Re: Painting front air deflector
i can arrange that blunt. Would it be better if i went to GM dealer and just order an airdam in white, And then have just the grille painted. I know from having my hood painted it is not going to be a perfect match without blending. But that gray grille has got to go

Re: Painting front air deflector
it is a bitch but white can be tinted for a perfect panel match....i just did it today....on the 1/4 panel of a '96 lebaron 'vert at the new shop.....all solid colors are panel painted....no blending involved ![]() |
