those jet skis in the 80s were like me painting rhinos in the 00s, good money, but a fad.

the grill is my only thing on that car i dont like. the build is awesome. i like how the interior went from drippy foam to a elegant interior. if only the buyer knew what was under there.

if you watch Muscle car when they built that mustang race car. they used foam from a floral shop to cut and mold and design.

i'm with toad. i doubt they just painted the foam. they used that to make a mold, and then made fiberglass panels. its actully really nice work, and very expensive i'm sure. alot of man hours. my father was a mold maker for 23 years, and they used all kinda ways to make shit. for years he build molds for fords hub caps.

Even if it is ugly to you, you have to appreciate the talent and time it took to get the car that way. I have seen people use foam like that many of times and then lay their glass to it. No different than when you see them use clay. Only thing about clay, I would think it is easier to ADD back to it if you take too much off instead of spraying the foam and cutting back down again.

My dads buddy used expanding foam to mkae rockers and cab corners on his old chevy truck. But the truck is for hunting only and everything inside and out is covered in rhino liner. Came out really nice and nobody would ever tell

That's actually a great idea. It's like doing a clay sculpt. They probably either sent it out, or just fiberglassed over it. It's not a crap job. Plus the car looks bad ass.

i do that all the time.. nothing wrong with it.. sometimes its nicer to get a better base with foam than other things... hell thats how i did contours on my dash bezel and my dashboard... especially when filling in the dip and shaving the oh shit handle
