I've searched.. Relocating filler neck

I've searched, and I can't find out what I need. I'm shaving my gas tank, and that part is easy. The filler neck, not so easy, or is it? Most of the threads I found when I searched, the pictures had been removed or don't work. I put gas in my truck often so I need a very reliable way. I hear some people use gas tubing or hose? Would the rubber hose not crack or anything? Please, I'll be doing this sometime this week. Thanks in advance!

I went to oreill's and asked for a fuel safe hose the diameter I needed and said I don't care what its for or how long it is I just need a 90* bend in it. Found one that would work and built a small box on the inside of the bed where it would go.

Re: I've searched.. Relocating filler neck

Thanks for the reply's...but really no help to me? I have an idea on how to do it, but i guess all i really need to know is what kind of hose, & where to get it? I mean, ive heard radiator hose is not a good choice. What kind of hose is it that goes from the tank to the gas neck? and where could i get this in a 90*?
Thanks!

Thanks!
I used two 90 degree gas hoses I bought from O'Reillys and a piece of 2" pipe. I'll try to post some pics up later.

Re: I've searched.. Relocating filler neck

make sure whatever hose you use is rated for fuel, dont use radiator hose or anything like that, the gas will deteriorate it and youll end up with a filler neck leak and a very dirty carb/injectors

Re: I've searched.. Relocating filler neck

i took my stock neck off and modified it so it went straight up and just made a box for it to mount to. took me like an hour to do, and it was free, i even made the filler plate from some sheet metal i had lying around.
