home made front roll pan possible ?

i removed my front bumper and grille tonight because im about to paint my truck flat black soon and lose the crappy blue and white hack paint job and all the trim work etc

the bumper is twisted some on the pass side and dented inwards a little on that end

i was thinking about having a roll pan on the front instead

anyone try to make one home made ?

from sheetmetal

possible ?

pics ?

info ?

ideas ?

looks like the frame horn endss have to be removed to roll pan it

right ?

thanks

Re: home made front roll pan possible ?

Seen it before on the fullsize trucks (the 67-72 ones & the 30's ones), just doesn't look right to me either.

Did a quick image search and only found this one:

Just a thought, but if you're going to go through all the hassle, why not just get a clean bumper and recess it a bit?

that truck is secks. i think it looks great. it also isn't completely smooth. it does come out some and have a horizontal surface, so maybe not a true roll pan.

yea that truck is sick and i love the look of it, but the way that one is made it seems that if u ever had to take the bumper or a fender off the whole dog house would have to be removed in one piece.

Re: home made front roll pan possible ?

that flows really well on that truck... s10s have a lower bodyline so it might look kinda weird.. go for it tho
