full size chevy bumper sectioning

hey whas up, ive been lookin for any info on how to section a full size chevy front bumper to fit my 2nd gen blaze. i mainly want info on how to do the brackets. do i use the outer s10 brackets or the full size frame rail brackets, or both? any help is much appreciated.

not for sure but im pretty sure the best option is to bolt up the fullsize brackets to the bumper and mod them to fit the s10 frame

If you have ever looked at a fullsize bumper you will notice the brackets are way wider than that of an s-series frame, what I did, was cut a section out of the middle (1' each way from the center) and tacked that to my frame horns in the position i wanted. Then with it in place i built brackets, and cut down the ends of the bumpers and welded them on. You can check my project thread here...

Just threw it up for a test fit. So far I've taken 4 1/2" out of each side. I'll be working on the transition to the fenders this weekend.
