Re: fuel tank capacity

Mine has the optional 18 gal, but it's a '97, they may have upped it in later years.

Re: fuel tank capacity

My 98 2.2l Manual has a 19 gal tank. When the gas light comes on, I usually have 3-4 gallons left.

Re: fuel tank capacity

Has anyone figured out exactly how much gas is left when there “low fuel” light comes on? When mine comes on and if I gas up, I take like 13 gallons… Looking online it seems that either 18.5 or 20 gallons tanks are sold as OEM replacements.. Does this mean I have a 18.5 gallon tank??? It seems odd because the light comes on really early then…. In my other car I know there is 1.4 gallon when it comes on because the owner’s manual says it…. Seems like a useful bit of info to have lol…

Re: fuel tank capacity

When my low fuel light is on - needle at empty - i fill up and put no more than 10 gallons in the tank - last fuel pump change must have upset the tank float - 24 mpg average with ac on and cruise control on the highway.

Re: fuel tank capacity

Filling it up from E I can put 16~ or so in mine, so I'd say 17 or 18 bc i can drive forever on E.

Re: fuel tank capacity

there is either a 14 gallon tank, or a 19 gallon tank.

when the low fuel light comes on you have about 3.5 gallons of fuel left.

When I gas up my ZR2 it's always 17-18 gallons of fuel, the most being 18.3.

The needle was buried well below the E and I was still off-road going up and down steep inclines, then I drove across town because it's the non-e10 station. It never even sputtered.
