Re: Front End Conversion's

Nothing as crazy as some of the things in here, just a Bravada converted ZQ8. It's got a decent gap between the bumper and the grille, so the old Chevy grille is getting a section cut out of it to be molded as an extension to the Bravada grille. I'd like to get a Sun Coast Ram Air hood for it as it has an Olds W-30 look to it, but the cash flow is yelling for a simple cowl hood.

Re: Front End Conversion's

yeah I like that truck

however I NEVER understood why Ford always makes the bottom of the grilles perfectly flat/horizontal yet they put a dip in the top of the bumper under the grille....

they did that on like 4-5 different vehicles and it just pisses me off when I see it

Simple and clean...looks great. Im thinking i may do the same on my S15 but leaving the hood alone since the truck is a pretty decent shade of blue to begin with.

Re: Front End Conversion's

Some of these are horrible. And I don't care if they were in a magazine or not. Anyone been looking at the crap they have been putting in Truckin lately? All the 'show trucks' with horrible body gaps, or for instance the gray GMC in the last issue with the envoy headlights and the drivers one is all out of wack.

The below are all fugly IMO.

WTF? Thats not even close to looking good. Horrible job, my 9 yearold could do better.

WTF? Whoever did this should be banished.

This one would be alot nice if the colors were different and if they did something with the bumper...

Re: Front End Conversion's

but HONESTLY...if they woulda simply grafted the raised center section of an F250 hood onto the center of the S10 hood and then had the grille come up into the raised part of the hood LIKE IT DOES ON AN F250 the that truck would look decently good. The biggest reason it looks like COMPLETE CRAP is because the flat edge of the hood doesn't flow with the rounded top of the grille AT ALL

Re: Front End Conversion's

i never said mine was better. i just told my opinion! u say it dont matter if its ugly its the body work that counts! body work dont win anything! if it doesnt look good.

just because u cut something and put something else there doesnt make it sale for more money!

Might not be that bad looking if it didn't have that huge bowtie there.

there is no specific kit all the ones you see are 100% custom because the envoy stuff doesnt bolt onto s-10s alot of metal work has to be done to do this but if you have your heart set on it expect it to cost you alot of money time and work

unless it old style envoy then the lights are same shape and just need bumper cover best place to probably goes is local body shop prefferably gm dealership since they can give u after market price and stock price would recommend stock lights since after markets can be shatty fitting

hold on guys what are talking about body shops and a lot of money? all that requires is a lil bit of wrenching. with a 97 you have to change core support but beyand that everything else is simple stuff

Re: Front End Conversion's

i work with the guy that owns and built the "S-250". Seeing it up close I can tell you that i absolutely think it's horrible. the grille sits way too far back, the headlights are way too big, and the bumper just looks wrong. there are lots of other details about it that were just not done right too. but he's creative? he says he wanted to be different from everyone else. that's why he didn't shave the handles, and kept the rear bumper and stuff like that. i think it's pretty gay, but that's just me
