too many gaps, the lights are crooked, and the bumper doesn't fit with the rest of the truck

Re: Front End Conversion's

I was wondering on Envoy conversions if it's possible to use a Envoy '02-'04 bumper with the same '02 grill? I know there shaped abit different from the older ones.

Sorry I meant use a sonoma style light and grill (or envoy grille) with a 02'-04' bumper. Will it look ok or work? Its pretty hard to find a bumper asides..

im not sure which envoy conversion you are talking about, but if you mean a 98-00 envoy, then i think the 'dip' in the bumper where the grill goes is too small. i think the grill on a 98 noma or envoy is bigger than the izuzu

lmao that means nothing! you must believe everything you read. ive seen rides at shows that are 10x better then 90% of the vehicles featured in minitruckin', truckin', sport truck, streettrucks, tailgate etc etc. people tend to get in mags due to the people they know. x10

Agreed... although there are a few that are very worthy of them he is correct about 90% of them could have been replaced with a nicer vehicle

y is everyone hated on the guy's truck...seems like alitte bit of jealously because no of ur trucks have made it yet?(mine hasnt either and im not hatin') mags dont put shit in, so that truck had something that caught their eyes. if u put shit in there, no one will read it or even look at it. yeha agree there are better trucks out there, but his had to be something to make it in the magazine!

im not hating here man. but id say he made it cause he knew someone or the shop that did all the work knows someone. ive talked to many people who have had cover trucks and most say the shops that do theres usually report to the mags and tell them abouth the work they are doing. this way when the truck makes it into the mag, the company or shop gets represented. theres a shit load of politics that go into getting in a mag. i lived next to L&G enterprises in cali, they have done many trucks designed by chad lucas of minitruckin' magazine, and they usually get handed a vehicle, do all the work, send it to sema, and then tell mags so the mags cover the truck.
its all about who you know man. every now and then its about the work YOU did on your truck too.

believe me, if you were to even look around on this website, you would realize alot of feature trucks are hackjobs.

if just a little more time was put into making that grill fit right, it would look so much better. ive seen the truck in person, had 2 long days of working blood drag to look at it. and the front end conversion doesnt look any better in person, the rest of the truck is awesome, but all they did with the grill was cut it to make it fit, it looks like nothing was done to make it flow with the rest of the truck, therefore leaving uneven gaps and making it look like shit.

now from what ive heard, the owner has also said this, and it is all being redone so it comes togeather better, and i cant wait to see it, becuse it has awesome potential, and is definately one of the more origional things done with the s10.
